The original cups of various sizes from 0.00 to 0.9 are actually the central meniscus of Kuhnt which lie superficially on the nerve fiber layer of the disc, and has no relevance to glaucoma.

This was very informative. I'm not an optician or a doctor but I am a programmer and I have recently become interested in trying to simulate human vision after I got diagnosed with Myopia. I have been reading some textbooks online to understand this stuff but there are a few details I still don't understand, primarily with the units of measurement used. Would you mind if I ask you some of the questions I have? At this point I can calculate the Wavefront Error of my eye and convert it into a Point Spread Function, but unfortunately it's not to scale. Once I understand the units of measurement involved I should be able to convolve the PSF with images to see how my sight changes at different distances and with my pupil dilated to different sizes.
